Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub Review
Dull, dry skin is an unfortunate trend that loves to resurface during the cold winter months. As the temperature drops, so does the level of moisture our skin retains. In turn, this results in that dull, dry, and even flakey skin that we all have come to know. Using skincare that targets our needs is important. Today I wanted to share my experiences using the newly released True Botanicals Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub.
My Fiance and I jointly try out new skincare products every month. Our articles are typically written in the third person for this exact reason. This time around I ventured out on my own to test out this product. Soon enough, I’m sure he will too. True Botanicals gifted us this product to test in partnership with their online holiday gift shop. Today I will share the benefits of this product, how I use it, and the best practices so that you can use it too. If you’re interested in discovering more True Botanicals products, then make sure to check out our True Botanicals Holiday Gift Guide before you go.

Ingredients & Benefits
Exfoliating products are extremely popular. After all, who doesn’t love knowing that they are sloughing away rough, dead skin cells to reveal newborn skin? Skincare companies know that consumers are endlessly on the hunt to achieve beautiful skin. Unfortunately, many of these companies care more about profits than creating safe products for consumers.
The True Botanicals Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub has been thoughtfully formulated with only the best ingredients. Key ingredients include Organic Fine Grain Sugar, Sandalwood Powder, Kaolin Clay, Hemp Seed, Jojoba Seed, and Green Tea Seed Oils. Ingredients that create micro-tears in the skin, such as walnut shells found in many traditional body exfoliants, have been left out of the formula. Instead, this scrub utilizes the power of kaolin clay, which helps to cushion the organic sugar. Furthermore, this scrub is enriched with emollient essential fatty acids (EFA’s) that protect, nourish, and support skin barrier. The result is a non-irritating scrub that does not damage your skin’s natural barrier.

How to Use This Product
I’ve found that the True Botanicals Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub can be used on a variety of different parts of the body. Note: this scrub is not intended for the face. Although the scrub is gentle, the skin on our face still requires a softer exfoliant. To use this scrub, apply to damp skin and massage in a circular motion. Afterward, apply the Pure Radiance Body Oil to replenish and further moisturize your skin. Here are a few ways that I use this sugar scrub and how you can as well:
Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub Usage
Pre-Shaving
Although I’m literally never in the mood to shave (especially in the winter), I read how this scrub is great to use pre-shaving because it will prep the skin, resulting in a smooth shave. After massaging into damp skin, rinse and follow up with a cruelty-free shaving cream or gel. This sugar scrub was perfect for removing dead skin and also helped to prevent razor bumps, something I am extremely prone to. I also decided to do some other basic grooming and I applied it to my underarms as well. The results so far have been wonderful, and I may be more likely to shave at least one more time before hibernation comes to an end.
Ingrown Hairs
Ingrown hairs are annoying and pesky. Thankfully, there’s a solution. Exfoliation is the key to uprooting ingrown hairs. The True Botanicals Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub provides gentle but effective exfoliation that will eliminate ingrown hair once and for all. This goes right along with pre-shaving, as we are prone to getting them without the proper prep work prior to grooming.
Foot & Heel Treatments
My favorite way to use this scrub is on my feet and heels. I am typically on my feet for a solid nine hours each day. As a Beauty Advisor I am required to work the sales floor and sell beauty products. Therefore, my feet take quite the beating after a long day of work. I massage this sugar scrub into my feet and heels several times a week after I shower. My skin has become significantly less callous and I have felt the most relief in this area while using this scrub.
Hands, Elbows, & Knees
Our hands and joints tend to get dry during the cold winter months. This is because our elbows and knees contain fewer oil glands than the rest of our body, resulting in less natural lubrication and moisture retention. As for our hands, they take quite a hit between handwashing, sanitizing, and just constant everyday use. All of this leads to dryness and flakey skin. Use the True Botanicals Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub 2 to 3 times per week on these areas to exfoliate and renew the skin by eliminating dead rough skin cells.

It’s important not to overuse exfoliation products, as our skin does not require constant exfoliation. In fact, over-exfoliating can be really damaging to the skin. Thankfully, the Pure Radiance Sugar Scrub is designed for a moderate amount of weekly exfoliation. I use these products on various parts of my body about three times a week. My results have been really wonderful and my skin feels soft and supple. My feet feel the most relief from this product due to the constant wear and tear they undergo each day. This product has become a staple to my skincare collection and one that I can highly recommend to our readers. Soon enough I’m sure that my Fiance, Cassio, will chime in too.
